As part of Aripana Foundation’s work in environment & sustainability education, Aripana Foundation & Lalit Narayan Mithila University (website), in collaboration with Bombay Natural History Society (website) and the Nature Conservation Foundation (website) invite you for a free webinar in Hindi on birds and bird watching, with a special focus on the birds of Bihar.
The eminent speaker for this webinar is Dr. Rajat Bhargava, a Senior Scientist (Ornithologist) currently with the Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS). A former aviculturist, he has done his Masters in Wildlife Science from Aligarh Muslim University and also completed his Ph.D in Ornithology from BNHS through Mumbai University. His favorite bird species include the Finn’s Weaver, Green Avadavat and parrots in particular. An author of two books, several technical reports, research papers and articles, he has widely traveled across India studying birds, their habitats, and conservation needs. With more than 1,000 bird photographs published in international and national journals, books and magazines, he also specializes in bird photography. A very simple down to earth person, his passion is birds, to which he has devoted his full life.
